Susan Rogers is Director of Special Projects of the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania (MHASP) and Director of the National Mental Health Consumers’ Self-Help Clearinghouse.
Highlights from her biography include:
- Writer and editor of materials published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Resource Center to Address Discrimination and Stigma Associated with Mental Illness (ADS Center), now called SAMHSA's Resource Center to Promote Acceptance, Dignity and Social Inclusion Associated with Mental Health;
- Co-author of an amici curiae brief that was accepted by the U.S. Supreme Court in Olmstead v. L.C.
- Editor of several periodicals, and author of numerous published articles on the mental health system and the consumer/survivor movement (in which she has been active since 1984);
- Has been interviewed on television and radio and in the print media, and has spoken at a wide variety of national and statewide conferences;
Ms. Rogers was also Lead Director of the RRTC Training Project:
"Impact of Stigma: Training State Legislators on Barriers and Supports Associated with Community Integration"
Ms. Rogers is currently involved with the following RRTC training project:
"Infusing Research Based Participation and Community Living Practices into Consumer Operated Programs: A Training Toolkit"
