Allison Wishon joined the Bazelon Center as Policy Associate in 2008. Allison conducts research and analysis on a variety of policy issues including criminal justice and mental health, special education, campus mental health, and funding of children’s mental health services. She also assists the Director of Federal Relations with advocacy efforts, lobbying for mental health policy issues before members of the U.S. Congress and the federal government. Prior to joining the Bazelon Center, Allison held positions with the Carter Center Mental Health and the University of Notre Dame, where she focused upon mental health policy issues at the national, state, and campus community levels. Allison graduated from the University of Notre Dame with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Gender Studies, and holds an M.H.S. in Mental Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
